We’ve typically seen the majority of DraftKings/FanDuel value this season come in with the wide receivers, but Week 14 has blessed us with one of the most interesting NFL DFS slates of the year for value running backs. The backfields of the 49ers, Steelers, and Chargers are all in flux, and each has players who are extreme value picks and should see 15-plus touches in great matchups. However, as usual there are still plenty of great high-end options at both running back and wide receiver in daily fantasy football contests, so nailing the value options is going to be as important as ever.
Finding good value plays is usually more important in cash times, as you often don’t need to overthink rostering values in GPPs if diversify your lineup in other areas. Check out the RotoQL Trending Players Tool to quickly identify the top values are each week.

NFL DFS Picks Week 14: QB sleepers, values
Deshaun Watson, Texans vs. Colts (DK: $5,900 | FD: $7,800)
The quarterback position is interesting this week in that you can easily spend up over $6,000 on DraftKings; Patrick Mahomes is priced down in a home game against the Ravens, Philip Rivers has an elite matchup, and Jameis Winston is in what projects to be the best scoring environment of the week against the Saints. However, for tournaments you can get a ton of leverage by choosing to save a little bit on QB and dipping below $6,000.
The main player I’m looking at in the range is Watson, who has a great matchup against the Colts at home. Watson is finally back to rushing the ball seven-to-10 times per game after recovering from a rib/lung injury that hampered him in the beginning of the season and has shown great upside playing at home in his career, posting a plus/minus of plus-5.7 over his last 10 games played in Houston.
Other QB Values: Andrew Luck, Josh Allen, Cody Kessler

Week 14 DraftKings, FanDuel Picks: RB sleepers, values
Jeff Wilson Jr., 49ers vs. Broncos (DK: $3,800 | FD: $5,600)
The running back position this week is the most loaded in terms of value that it has been all season. There are legitimately four players below $4,000 on DraftKings who are in play at the position, and deciding between them is going to be a critical decision this week. For me, the top value running back is Wilson Jr., who will take on the primary running back role in a home matchup against the Broncos. Wilson entered the game last week for injured Matt Breida and made a huge impact in the passing game; catching eight balls on nine targets for 73 yards. Now it should be noted that we can’t expect that kind of passing game usage as the 49ers got behind early and opted to air it out last week against the Seahawks, but with that in mind, Wilson should be a near lock for around 75 percent of the snaps on offense against a Broncos defense that is middle of the road against the run and will now be without their best corner in Chris Harris Jr.
Jaylen Samuels, Steelers @ Raiders (DK: $3,700 | FD: $4,600)
I personally prefer Wilson Jr. as the top value at running back, but Samuels is right there and is also perfectly viable option as he steps in for the injured James Conner. Samuels is an excellent pass catcher out of the backfield, so he should see the vast majority of the passing down work in a great matchup against the Raiders. Steelers coach Mike Tomlin has already come out and said that this will be a backfield committee with Stevan Ridley mixed in, which is the primary reason why I favor Wilson over Samuels, but make no mistake the upside of Samuels is massive with the Steelers projected to blow out Oakland as 10.5-point road favorites.
Other RB Values: Justin Jackson, Kerryon Johnson (if active)

FanDuel, DraftKings Picks Week 14: WR sleepers, values
Chris Godwin, Buccaneers vs. Saints (DK: $4,900 | FD: $5,600)
Last week the Bucs finally unleashed second-year wideout Chris Godwin with DeSean Jackson out with a hand injury. Godwin went off (5-101-1) and has a chance for a repeat performance against a Saints defense that has had trouble with WR2s all season. Godwin’s viability at his $4,900 price point on DraftKings is heavily reliant on the status of Jackson, but with the Bucs out of playoff contention it would make sense for them to give Godwin as many reps as possible with Jackson being a free agent in the offseason.
Godwin has also been excellent at home this season, with or without Jackson in the lineup; posting a plus/minus of plus-7.0 through six games. There is so much value at running back this week that you shouldn’t need to drop very far below $5,000 on DraftKings, so it’s very possible to make Godwin the cheapest wide receiver in your lineup.
Other WR Values: Larry Fitzgerald, Dante Pettis, Curtis Samuel
WEEK 14 PPR RANKINGS: Running back | Wide receiver | Tight end
Week 14 NFL DFS Picks: TE sleepers, values
Zach Ertz, Eagles @ Cowboys (DK $6,400, FD: $7,400)
Typically I look to really spend down at tight end, but with how much value there is at running back this week we can look to spend on Ertz, who might be the best mid-range value on the slate at $6,400 on DraftKings. Ertz has been simply dominate this season and has commanded a huge share of targets in the Eagles offense. Ertz has one of the safest target floors on the slate, having seen eight or more targets in 11 of 13 games and has posted an excellent plus/minus of plus-6.4.
The icing on top is that Ertz has a great individual matchup against the Cowboys, a team that he lit up for 43.5 DraftKings back in Week 10. There is no way Ertz should be sub-$7,000 on DK given his production and you should be able to get him at decent ownership given Eric Ebron and Travis Kelce are two other high-priced tight ends who are also in great spots that will garner attention.
Other TE Values: Vance McDonald, David Njoku
